10. Last weekend I foolishly cleaned the carpet.

This morning I noticed they were still damp and remembered the old dehumidifier that we haven’t used in 15 years in the garage (they might make them lighter these days). I knew it was too heavy to lift safely but did it anyway.

This story is a cautionary tale; it is better to live with dirty carpets. Cleaning is too dangerous for amateurs
