3. Theres a site that
allows you to enter a url such as DU so that you can by-pass the restrictions that have been put on by your companies server....

6. Um, wouldn't companies' filter software programs block this site then?

In fact, I'm at work and tried one of them, only to get the Access Denied! screen.

list of filtered sites a few weeks ago. I'm going to sign on to the company VPN right now and try some of these.

9. Just out of curiousity
Will your company allow you to access your own home computer? If so, could you use something like VNC to access the browser on your home computer, which was accessing DU?

For example, here is a screen shot of me accessing the Laptop my wife is on, running Netscape 6 on Win98SE, from my Linux box. It's slower, to be sure, but it works.

There are commercial products like PC Anywhere, but if you want free VNC servers/clients here are a couple of urls

13. FWIW........
I've used PCAnywhere and I recommend it. You leave it running on your home PC and connect to it remotely and use it as if you were sitting at home at your keyboard. It is password protected so that only you can use it remotely or make changes to it at home.
