Click on this link I was sent. Type in your yearly salary and it will tell you where you stand globally. I don't know the first thing about the charity that link is associated with so if you don't like it ignore (as I did). I'm only posting this because it is a eye opener.

2. I doubt it's very exact

but it's certainly eye opening. Here's another - Over 3,000,000,000 people live on less than $2 a day.

I typed in my last year's income of $7,500 and it said I was in the richest 13 percent and tried to hit me up for a donation.

No. Excuse me. You have to correct for the cost of living where a person actually lives. My $7,500 a year -- well below the poverty line -- probably puts me in the poorest 20 percent after an accurate correction for my cost of living in the U.S.

I work for a international micro enterprise charity so I have a little knowledge on the subject. We had a partner visit us from India and he asked to be taken to the poor neighborhoods. So we drove him down to the worst area of DC. He got out of the car (against our advice) and laughed.

"These are your poor?" - he asked "I see glowing TV's in the windows, cars parked everywhere, and are those heating units I see?"

When compared to those all over the world you live their dream.
