Well, the Team America reviews are all over the map
I only checked three places, but here's the scoop:

Chicago Sun-Times (Ebert) - 1 star
USA Today - 3 stars
Chicago Tribune - 2 1/2 stars

2. I won't see it................
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 07:57 AM by DumpGump
the two guys that created South Park and this piece of crap are two immature, selfish cretins who have egos that are as self over inflated as the "Hollywood Activists" they always rail against.
They think everything is a big joke, even the most heinous acts, and can't see their own hypocrisy because they're too busy examining everyone else's.
People like Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon and Barbara Striesand, who have taken it upon themselves to study the issues and educate themselves on world affairs are nothing but "jokes" to these two Sophomoric morons. I guess because these celebrities have taken the time to acquaint themselves with the issues they're far less important than willfully ignorant people like themselves.
These two Jackasses are nothing more than two "children" than have never grown up. I'm hoping that someday they will and see that everything is not one big joke for them to make fun (and Oh So Much Money) of.

3. The Detroit Free Press gave it 3 stars
I don't have a problem with it. It's not a movie I'm probably going to see, but I do enjoy "South Park". It's crude and obnoxious, but it does make me laugh.

4. I heard an interview with Matt Stone yesterday
where he was talking about how he depicted the "terrorists", and how he thought it was OK because in time of war, racism is OK.
That's been the hardest thing for me about the Bush administration after 9/11; there was basically a subtext to the message that said "it's OK, you can be racist all you want now and it's justified". That's why it's OK with so many people that we attacked an innocent country-none of them are innocent and they're all cameljockeys anyway so they don't matter. The government says so.

So, I guess they want to be fair & balanced?

7. I am looking forward to seeing it...
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 02:50 PM by Heyo
...I haven't seen any of the clips, I have read a little about it.

But the main reason I will see it is because the South Park movie is the one single movie that litterally had me with a stomach ache on the way home from laughing so hard. People were practically rolling around in the aisles, singing alot to a lot of the songs.. one of the must overal fun moviegoing experiences I have ever had. It was opening night, people were laughing out loud with tears in their eyes all the way walking out to their cars.

Anyone who can make a movie that can induce that much laughter in people, I will give them a chance to see if they can do it again. I am willing to bet my 8 bocks on this movie. Plus I am a huge SP fan anyways.

Heyo
