Anyone catch the Hip Hop Awards last night?

I caught bits and pieces of it.'

FANTASTIC!!!!!!

I grew up listening to a lot of those guys. It was awesome seeing everyone together. Especially Sugar Hill Gang.

The show finished with a performance by Public Enemy. Chuck D was all over the place.

I turned the telly up real loud. It was ELECTRIC!!!!!

I watched.

Funny too that in my town dump amnesty day was thisd past weekend(free dumping big stuff) my nine year old found a turntable, we grabbed it, brought it home and hooked it up (haven't had one in years) and I dug out the old albums.

I found the Sugarhill Gang's Rapper's delite and was explaining how it started hip hop in many ways. He then started playing with the turntable and learning to scratch and rap (play it backwards etc.) with the sugarhill gang 12 inch.

I thought that was way cool and was glad to see them last night.
