There are and have been fuel cell companies looking for distributors for their home cogen units some producing upwards of 8Kwatts. One I know of for certain is being fronted by GE. You can check out the home unit that is roughly the size of a dishwasher and sits outside the house on a pad at GE's site.

many of the profiles are EXTREMELY interesting.
Reasons why I post this. One. We have an energy crisis facing the country.
Two. These technologies are up and coming and you might find them interesting, perhaps profitable, and certainly environmentally sound.
Three. You would be helping end the dependence on M.E. oil.
Four. If you incorporate some of this technology into your own home, you will save money.... and that is a good thing.
Five. I wish I had the experience and knowledge to do this or to get involved with it... but alas I do not... so maybe I can live the experience vicariously through someone else whom I turn on to it....
Six. You don't know where some of the contacts you might make might lead you.....
