15. Interesting. I think most of us most hate it when they use a song we like
eg Wrangler and "Fortunate Son" but maybe that's what you meant.

2. Tis almost the season I really start to hate 'em.
I usually can't wait until after the holiday when the start airing all the putrid car commercials and take those even worse Xmas onces off.

3. Almost as much as I hate television in general.
The commercials are frequently better than the programming, sad to say.

4. This Is The Beauty Of ReplayTV (DVR) And The 30-Second Skip Button
although, with all the new banner ads that run DURING the show, the commercials are still annoying. I'm recording less and less stuff from the commercial networks in favor of the commercial-free and banner-free satellite networks.

5. Well, I used to make them for a living
so I can't hate them too much. But man, there are a lot of stupid ones out there. Not that I ever made any. :P

11. Hey I quit didn't I?
Yes, I used to work for ABC, proud propagandists for Disney and censors of Michael Moore. I am a corporate media refugee. But I saw the error of my ways, and told them to take a hike, throwing away my entire journalism education.

And I don't regret it one bit.

BTW, don't write in silly accents again. There, I reminded you. ;-)

8. over the years, I've developed this incredible ability . . .
to simply tune out commercials whenever they appear . . . didn't set out to do it . . . it just happened . . . you could ask me about a commercial that just played, and I wouldn't even be able to tell you what product it was for . . .

13. I try to train myself to forget the company names to spite them
Not sure how well it's worked, but it's worth a try.

9. fastest MUTE in the world
i hate commercials ... i don't listen to them and i don't watch them ... at least not on TV ...

it's been a little tougher since AAR came to Boston last week ... unlike TV, you can't tell when the program starts up again ... with the mute on, you can see when a show returns on TV ...

if someone is interested in developing a new technology, it would be great to have a commercial screener outer for radio ...

12. a few commercials would not bother me
problem is now THERE ARE SO DAMN MANY OF THEM; they go on and on so long that very often I literally forget what TV show I was watching.

14. Alot of times I don't listen
to the commercials. Normally, I use TiVo to escape them.

Radio commericals are far more annoying to me, I always change the station.
