"Fahrenheit 9/11" won't play on my Xbox.
:-(

I can get it to play on my computer, and on my small combo TV/VCR/DVD, but not on my Xbox, which is hooked up to my main television and surround sound system.

Anyone else having this problem? :-(

3. May be adult-blocked.
Some platforms feature coding that won't play movies with R ratings. Makes sense.

I had to change settings on my Playstation to get R movies to play.

Check your manual or the Xbox webiste FAQs.

Good luck!

4. I thought of that, and did check my Xbox settings.
Parental Protection or whatever it's called is off... it's just the weirdest thing that Xbox won't even recognize this disc as a movie.

Guess I could exchange it for another disc, but I'm not convinced that's going to solve my problem.

Thanks everyone for responding!!

8. Let me know, Gothic!
Although I see that snooper2 has already tried it out, and it seems to play just fine on snooper's Xbox.

Guess I'm screwed. :-(

11. Perhaps there's a problem with the lens or optical block...
I know from experience that a ps2 with a damaged optical block may play most discs with few problems but won't even recognize other discs. The problem is very common with ps2s, it usually prevents them from playing any dvds but occasionally it will be damaged in such a way that it can play some dvds but not others. I've never seen this problem on the xbox, but it's a dvd based system so it must have the same components.

14. My Xbox is reading my other DVDs just fine.
I don't know what else to try... I guess my Xbox just doesn't want me to watch F911 on it. :-)

At least I can play it on the PC and my small TV, but it just won't be the same without the big picture and sound.
