how can you tell what program is using your soundcard?
Now I can't play Air America because it says something's already using it. I can't figure it out. Help please.

1. How to find out depends on your operating system
But the easiest way to remedy this would be to restart...unless the program that grabs your sound card starts up automatically.

3. It's been a while since I used '98
Does this program-grab happen often or is a one-time thing? Lots of people have RealAudio in their startup...that might do it and there's usually no reason to have it running.

I think Start > Run > winconfig (or try msconfig) might get you there. Look for the STARTUP tab.
