I downloaded "going upriver" and can't play it. File extension not known.
It's a .mov extension.

I have realplayer, windows media, Winamp.

Anyone else have success?

2. Yes, it's QuickTime, you just need a codec pack
I'll let Windows users tell you how to get it, just letting you know that you didn't waste the download.

12. It Quicktime and
you can configure QT only to play .QT or .mov files. Quicktime is normally a smaller footprint that mpeg3.

15. Awwww PHUK! I downloaded quicktime and installed it and now...
it says "couldn't open the file 'goingupriver.mov' because it is not a file that quicktime understands"

What a friggin runaround! Love computers, LOVE 'EM!!

17. Download a program called GSpot
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

It will tell you what kind of file it is and what codecs you need to play it.
