Here are two dreams which I had one week apart....

...I've dated each and also included a dream interpretation summary of keys words. I typed my recollection of each of these dreams immediately when I was awaken from my sleep following each repective dream, so they were in as much detail as I remembered them at the time. I never changed what I typed and in both cases I saved the results of my typed record of the dreams and went back to sleep. The crude analysis I did later when I was fully awake. As these dreams were so vivid and clear to me, I have shared them several friends who have given me their thoughts. I'd like to get input from fellow DUers, especially since the one I had last night clearly points to a political message. Here they are:

Your Dream: I was in a large house. The house was white colonial style architecture. I was being held and interrogated by officials. I escaped and made my way to a room that had eight or ten teenage and young adult men. The leader of the group welcomed me and identified the group of young men as the Jesus Gang. Just then several older men entered the room. I was suspicious of these men, but the gang leader knew the men and welcomed them into the room. They were looking for someone, but it wasn’t me. I sat down and said nothing. None of the young men had weapons or were armed. Suddenly there was rapid gunfire from outside then multiple bullets entered the room piercing the walls and windows gunning down many of the young men. Several of the older men also were hit. There was blood everywhere. The leader of the gang crawled over to me on his stomach and asked if I was all right. I said I was. We looked around and many of the young men appeared to be dead or badly wounded. The leader then told me to stay where was with the wounded teenagers and others while he went for help. He got up crossed the room and went out into the hall. I heard more gunfire, but the leader did not return. Several men were wounded on the couches around the room. One of them stood up and walked toward me, only to be gunned down by machine gun fire. I checked to see if he was still alive, but he appeared to be dead. Then I heard someone calling from outside for somebody by specific name. I looked out of the window. It was an elderly suspicious looking man with several men holding automatic weapons. He came up to the window and asked me to open the window. He assured me that he was not going to hurt anyone, but wanted to know if someone by a specific name, which I couldn’t make out was in the house. I was frightened and mistrustful of the man, so remaining low below the window and under the protection of the wall, I asked him to repeat what he said. He asked me to open the window, which I did slightly. As I did the men supporting him opened fire and bullets began to pierce the walls killing more of the occupants. Then my dream ended.

Your Dream: I was part of the early John Kerry for President campaign and was assigned to maintaining a raffle basket at one of John Kerry’s town hall speeches. At the end of Kerry’s speech I assisted in distributing the prize money and the raffle raised a surplus of $12. Kerry was pleased and instructed me to maintain the raffle basket because I had done so well and to be sure to bring it to his next speech in New York. I did this and changed the format of the basket to a decorative shopping bag. The next town hall meeting was in a large auditorium and although there were many more people attending they were scattered around the seats much more. John Kerry the candidate spent some time with me before the speech and told me how much he appreciated my contribution and how vital my effort was to the campaign. He discussed his views with me and I remember thinking how personable and wise he appeared. I showed him what I had done with the raffle basket and he thanked me. I suggested that the attendees to the meeting being scattered made it better for collected on the raffle. He agreed and said he would allow me thirty minutes before his speech to sell the raffle tickets. The band played music and I was able to fill the shopping bag with tickets. The hall was a buzz with activity and people talking and giving encouragement. Everyone was filled with hope as I finished collecting just as John Kerry came on stage to begin his speech. He gave me a-thumbs-up as he walked on stage to a loud, enthusiastic applause. I sat down to listen.
