2. i was about 15 when i first heard the pixies, they blew me away

i hadn't heard such fun, creative, intelligent music before. they are one of the true innovators.

in other news if you want to check out a group that has effected me in the same way that the pixies did years ago check out Vic Thrill.

3. I'm ambivalent.

Yorke worships them, Bowie digs them too.

Personally, I can't tell one song from another. I prefer bands that are vocally stylistic, and the Pixies just aren't.

To be honest, they remind me a lot musically of the last band I was in, just a bit better.

6. After 4 Days In Philly, I Need To Turn My Brain Off

Thanks again. I had to play hardass in Philly. Went against style, but this time i basically had to play the "no more excuses, we do it my way" thing with that site. Just going against my natural tendencies like that wore me out!
