Howard Stern moving to Sirius
Starting Jan. 1, 2006, Howard Stern is moving to Sirius satellite radio (and a good thing, too, my XM contract will be up by then). Here's a somewhat-official source:

2. Sirius?
I thought he was moving to Uranus.

You know, where the Klingons ... never mind.

3. 2006 or 2005?
Why would they announce something so far in advance?

5. I think it's becuase Stern's Infinity contract
Expires next year. After that he's done with them. Hopefully this will inject some life into the show, but half the fun is listening to him rip into Tom Chiusano and Dead-Air Dave every morning.

4. Good. That sealed the deal with me getting Sirius
Well, having to listen to Alan Colmes instead of Mike Malloy when I'm in the car and not streaming sealed XM's fate with me but this gives me more incentive to get Sirius.

6. I bought my wife a Delphi Roady for XM last Christmas
and now I wish I had Sirius. My rationale was that I believed Sirius, though the better product, would be like the Beta of satellite radio. I think I may have been wrong.

8. Finally after all these years we'll have Howard Uncut everyday!
FCC can't touch premium radio biaches!
