Has anyone tried the Firefox 1.0 preview?.................................
I'm currently using 0.9.2, and was wondering if there was any huge differences between the two versions?

5. I agree with you..........
I am completely happy with 0.9.2 and maybe I'll upgrade when it isn't a "preview" anymore.

Its funny. I haven't had any of the problems with Firefox that some folks cite. Maybe I'm just a bare-bones kinda web surfer.

that's pretty typical of the criticisms I've heard. Some folks have also had problems with FF loading Java applets, but there is an extension out for Java. Others report frequent crashes.

However, I'm really happy with FF and am doubly pleased to not support Bill Gates any more than I gotta.

edit: sorry, I thought you were taking about FF in general, Nomad has the more apropos reply.

Mozilla Foundation issued a security patch to fix a potential vulnerability in its recently released FireFox open-source Internet browser. The organization says holes are inevitable; what matters is how software developers handle them.

After more than two million downloads and much hoopla in the open-source community, the new preview release of the Mozilla Foundation's FireFox browser has hit a security snag.
On Friday, the organization issued an announcement and a security patch to fix a hole that could allow hackers to dupe users into saving unwanted files or deleting wanted files.

11. It's not bad
... seems to work well and is relatively stable. I don't know if it warrants an upgrade if you aren't currently experiencing any problems with an older version.
