5. Probably whatever my parents had when I was a baby.
I take it you didn't mean that -- I haven't thrown up for any reason since I was 16 (before that I was 5), and never in a car.

I remember getting carsick as a child in a car
It was a white car but I don't remember what kind. I think that I was in first grade. We were visiting my great grandmother in Southern Ohio where there are lots of hills and twisty roads.

8. Threw up in the car once as a kid
Edited on Sun Oct-03-04 04:58 PM by starroute
I was probably 10 or 11. It was summer and my father was driving us up to the mountains. I didn't usually get carsick, but I was wearing a little too much clothing, and as the day grew warm I got queasier and queasier. Finally, I whooped my cookies.

What was the car? 1955 two-tone Plymouth. Aqua below and black roof. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

On edit: Found a picture online of one a lot like it. Great car to throw up in.

10. When I was a teen I had a '62 Buick convertible with no back window...

...When it rained the water collected on the pass side.

My buddy threw up over there that winter and it froze in the puddle (NE Ohio).
Made it tough to run the heater as it didn't smell bad until it thawed.

I sold it before the spring for $50.

I'm not a good traveler in the summer if there's no air flow and nothing cold to sip on during the trip.

13. A 'fifties something Peugot...
...when I was a little kid.

When I was in sixth grade I got car sick on a long trip and threw up in the back sideways fold up "cargo" seats of a friend's mom's Lincoln (Town and Country?) station wagon.

Last time I got sick was in my dad's car... and I was just shy of forty years old. But I did manage to get the window open and barfed outside, mostly.

My dad was cracking up. He told everyone it was because I drank too much for breakfast. (Damn it, I only had ONE Bloody Mary!) But that made the guys we were driving with laugh (me too), but actually it was because my doctor had just changed one of my medications the day before.

BTW, when a pharmaceutical company comes out with something "new and improved;" and that something is just one more expensive variation of something old, then be very wary, especially if they give you a big box of "free" samples. Maybe think "Vioxx..." and you'll know what I mean.

16. My mom's car...
I was feeling very sick, and quickly rolled down the window when my mom was at the stop light. Then I promptly threw up over the side of the car window---it was sooo gross. I still flinch thinking about it.

Of course that was after the counter in a diner. I've got alot of bad stories to tell, but the memory is a little vague. I wouldn't trust my memory.

21. My dad's Ford Torino
Don't remember what year it was but I must have been around 9 maybe. Can't remember the circumstances but I made a total mess of the entire back seat - I think I ate too much crap at the county fair. My dad was hugely pissed though it was his own fault - I kept telling him I felt sick and he wouldn't pull over. Oh, well...
