It sure seems like it! the similarities are mind-boggling.

'Shark Tale' is set underwater with fish characters and has a shark character as well as turtles and jellyfish and basically EVERYTHING THAT FINDING NEMO HAD!

Not to mention, the animation in Shark Tale looks sooooooooooo crappy when compared to the animation in Finding Nemo.

And the characterization of Will Smith as a fish is a rip-off of Don Knotts in the "Incredible Mr. Limpet"

Shark Tale even has a "Ladyfish" type character.

(Edit to add IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058230).

4. The story isn't a whole lot like Finding Nemo,
but I just saw it this afternoon and I will say that the animation is rough and not as good as it could be, and the storyline doesn't work as well as it could either.

It was worth the $4.75 I paid for it, and I think it's worth seeing, but it's not a great movie. It is almost a great movie, but it keeps missing. It moves a bit too slow in spots, a bit too jokey in others, a bit weak here, a bit overdone there... no single problem that ruins the movie in any way, but the number of moments that don't quite work adds up to make the experience less than what it should have been.

The animation, while good, was noticably bad in some parts, and consistently average for the rest. No moments of really exciting, moving, or extraordinary animation.

5. Oh, please.
That's like saying Antz is a rip-off of A Bug's Life.

That Armageddeon is a rip-off of Deep Impact.

That Dante's Peak is a rip-off of Volcano.

That Dark City is a rip-off of The Matrix.

Shall I continue?
