I saw the Pixies on Monday night!
It was a great show. Frank Black, Kim Deal and Co. rocked---they were loud, and they never sounded better.

Try to see them if you can!

3. I saw them on Saturday night!
You're right, they did ROCK!! Too bad I only saw them play a short set at a festival, but they're coming back on October 20th. I WILL get a ticket. Oh yes, I must...

4. They were the headliners
and the set was long. The funny thing was that there were so many younger people there than I thought there would be.

I am glad that they played "Hey"---it's my favorite

11. ACL?
That's the one my friends went to... said Frank didn't do his usual screaming and the band's chemistry was off... said some other people they talked to thought it was the best show ever, so I guess it's all in the ear of the beholder. :)

On a positive note she did say the set list was varied compared to the two other times she'd seen them this year... so that's good at least.

12. It all depended on where you were standing.
We saw Modest Mouse and Elvis Costello at the same stage, and both times the sound sucked, and we felt almost none of the bands' energy. However from where we were standing for The Pixies, they sounded great, and we could see everything that was going on. I thought they sounded really tight, better than they did before they broke up.

Tickets go on sale for the October 20th show Saturday morning.

5. I heard they sucked
This is coming from bigtime fans, mind you. That they seemed to be phoning it in, so to speak.

Glad to hear that wasn't the case where you saw them. :)

7. They absolutely rocked in Calgary back in April
better than they were before they split up, actually.

8. Was supposed to see them in October....cancelled
So I got tickets for one of their shows in November.

And I have only seen positive reviews of them so far. Words from critics like "seems like they never set down their instruments..." etc.

I can't wait.

9. I saw them at Coachella in May.
They were good. I've never been a huge Pixies fan, but my brother is going to see them here in Virginia pretty soon.

10. Who was the opener for you?
I hear the Bad Plus is opening for them in Chicago or something: that might be worth the trip.
