1. I'll be joining you there in the spring.
39 is going, going, almost gone for me!

Happy Birthday, by the way!

(As my mother says, 'Don't gripe about getting old--consider what the alternative is.')

2. I celebrated the 15th anniversay of my 29th B-day
in July.

I wouldn't wish getting drafted on anyone (except the Bush twins).

3. HA HA HA! You're a "Babe In Arms" to some of us "Old Folks" at DU!
Forty (40)?!? God, I wish I were forty again. Youth is wasted on the young!

Go out and do something! You still have time to do it! Enjoy!

:D

6. Well, I....
Turned forty last year, having been unemployed for over a year.
Would not recommend it.

Happy B.D. and remember, it's just a number!

7. Welcome to the 40 club..
For those of us who still think we're 23... I feel your pain - I turned 40 in March. It's the strangest thing. I honestly don't feel '40' (whatever that means). Still like motorcycles, still drink beer, still do pretty much everything I've ever done...

Although.. I must admit.. I can't pull all nighters anymore.. and drinking gives me unrelenting, punishing hangovers unlike anything I knew in my 20's.

Ah well.

9. Try saying thirty-ten.
Try saying thirty-ten. If age is just a number, why not make one up? Happy Milestone Birthday and, for what it's worth, my ex-Grandfather-in-law was drafted at 40 and spent part of WW II in North Africa. Don't count your chickens until they're 45 or thirty-fifteen as I like to say.
