The only picture in existence of my puppy!

When my son was here in July he took one picture of my dog. I finally caught him online tonight and asked him to resize the picture where I could show Rufus off. This is my baby!

The back leg showing in the picture is the one that almost had to be amputated after he was hit by a car. I love our vet!

4. His mother was a purebred rat terrier and

his dad was a wanderer who was a clone of Benjii.

Jack is adorable. Jack looks like he's still a puppy, is he? If so, how old is he?

Rufus will be 3 in October. He came to live with me when he was 5 1/2 weeks old. My ex-sister-in-law nearly ran over him because his owner let him roam the street. Since sis-in-law knew I was looking for a puppy she stopped her car, rescued him from the street and brought him to me. I fell in love that day.

12. Jack will be 5 in Oct.

In that picture he is about 2 1/2, that was right after we adopted him from Jack Russel Rescue. He plays with a fury rarely seen in man or beast !!!! Moments after that pic was taken, he was on my lap, attacking the camera,,which is how all of our photo shoots end !!! Rat Terriers and JRTs are pretty similiar,cousins, if you will. Rufus is a cutie !!! He looks a little like a rough coat JRT.I think they share common bloodlines.

He walks as if he never had a problem. The only time he ever favors the leg is when he's been at his cousin's house running all over their fields.

13. someday I'll have a digital camera

and maybe my 3 cats will sit still long enough for me to get some pictures while they're awake.

The camera will happen soon. The cats sitting still... well, it's nice to have dreams. :)

14. One day I too will have my own digital

camera and won't have to rely on my son to take pictures for me.

I have pictures of my 2 cats sitting quietly in plain old cardboard boxes. My file is even labeled boxcats. I don't know what it is about cardboard boxes but the cats are fascinated with them for hours on end.

All kidding aside, I have to say, that's a cute dog. And I'm not into "cute" or "dogs", so that's saying something. :-)

I'm epsecailly glad he didn't have to lose a leg. Always feel sorry for animals missing limbs. Even feel sorry for the occasional pigeon I see with a broken or missing or bitten off leg.

his leg didn't heal properly. Now we just have him carry our drinks to the bedroom.

Ruf says thanks for the compliment. I have to agree with you, he's definitely a cutie in my eyes. Of course, I'm not the least bit prejudiced.
