Shit, I think I have a problem...
OK, I admit, I'm a weekend toker. However my roomate smokes several times daily, and I am exposed to secondhand marijuana smoke at least twice a day. Right now, I'm having problems with remembvering things, and often my train of thought will completley derail. I wonder if it's due to my daily exposure to secondhand pot smoke.

2. Long term cannibus use definitely affects neurochemistry....
the thing is is people's neurochemistry is so different that it affects no two people the same.

Some people can smoke regularly for decades and it doesn't "affect" them very much.

Where others can get "burnt out" after only a very short time.

Believe it or not, it's the truth.

5. MMMMmmmm
My advice is to inhale... the more the better. If you can't remember things .. you might as well be high when you forget them.

With that... keep the great source that you have and appreciate the fact that you have an option to partake or not. Most of the United States citizens do not have the understanding neccessary to be able to realize these things. :toast:

6. It affects everyone differently
If you feel it's having an adverse effect on your health (mental or physical) then you should limit your exposure.

I've never noticed the memory problems. Or maybe I did and just forgot about it. Either way I'm okay with it.

7. Maybe the memory loss is due to some bad Karma coming back to haunt me...
I've racked up some bad Karma while I've been here, Defacing a College Republicans Sign, stealing a couple pairs of panties from the laundry room while drunk off my ass, and other things invloving pretending to be passed out and while my roomate was beinf "intamate" with a girl, and shit like that Maybe I need to cut out the bad things and start building some good karma.

Between classes, meetings, doing stuff, drinking, playing BF:1942 and BF: 'Nam online and other related activities that college students do I really haven't posting on DU very much, much less fulfill my moderator duties.

9. I've got that, and never toked in my life.
Yah, my friends don't believe it either, but it's true. And I've got a terrible memory for many things.

10. It does affect everyone differently
For me, short term memory lost is already shot (ADHD here :hi:) but continued use of marijuana (every week over a period of 6 months or more) makes me feel depressed, but casual use, say once a month does not have that effect.

As a result, I treat 420 like a fine cigar - a nice treat every so often.

11. it messes my short term memory up big time.
I haven't smoked in about 3 weeks, and prior to that I was smoking QUITE frequently. I am enjoying the break. It's nice to remember a movie after I watch it and a book after I read it...

Where does anyone GET THAT STUFF?

What do I gotta do to get a brownie around here?

Man.

I know probably 500 middle school kids who could get some from their Uncle Tito in a New York minute but no freaking way I could or would ask them.

Mr. Moonbeam knows some guys he works with who do it, but he won't ask them because he doesn't want people at work to know he asked about it (and I really don't blame him).

We DO have a repuke friend who does it every weekend when he goes fishing, but damn.....

16. i have smoked off and on for over 3 decades
and depending on the stuff, i could have some forgetful times. but memory loss can be caused by all sorts of stuff, like stress, aging , lack of brain use, chemotherapy, disease, hormonal changes, just to name a few...i blame chemo and hormones...i think the pot has the least to do with it...
