Y'know, for a stinky hippie song...
That "stop, hey what's that sound" song isn't all that bad.

I give it 3 Grateful Dead "Drums" at RFK in '73 out of 5 Grateful Dead "Drums" at RFK in '73.

:hippie:

I saw CSN&Y in 1974. First CS&N came out without Young and played for about a half an hour. They were great. Stills was great. Then Neil Young came out and proceeeded to blow Stills completely off stage. It was the day On the Beach was released to give you a sense of the song selection. "Revolution Blues" "Carry On" "Long May You Run". Wow, I actually can remember that stuff. Ah memories.

5. Buffalo Springfield Was a Great Band
that did a lot of creative stuff pretty early on. I particularly like Steven Stills's "Kind Woman" and Neil Young's "Broken Arrow".

9. Sorry -- I'm Not Getting You
and I'm a big RR fan.

The Band and Bufflao Springfield were both musically sophsticated, and were able layers of strings, horns, and other instruments to build a unique musical place. It drives me mad that I rarely hear anything like that on the radio any more.

15. Oh, I Didn't Know He Did a Version of "Broken Arrow"
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 12:07 PM by ribofunk
What recording was it on -- does he have a new one?

On Edit: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Completely different song -- just didn't relate the two. I love it, with the steel string guitar, breathy vocals, and background noises.

16. No, it's not.
It's the 'experimental' brain surgery I did on the man when he was drunk. Hence the shaved head. He thinks he did it, poor dear.
