What's the most insulting thing you have said to anyone?
I was at this party in college, and there was a girl there who just acted like a self righteous, sanctimonious jerk the whole evening. We had words (nothing too heated), and then she just spit on me. I honestly don't remember saying anything that warranted a spitting. Anyway, I called her a "see you next Tuesday", which is something I never do. I only drop the c-bomb when it's justifiable.

So, how about it? Open up your sekeltons, fellow DUers!

5. Actually...
....I probably cannot repeat what I said to a certain guy after he went on and on about how sexy and great his new girlfriend was when I actually saw her for the first time. It was something along the lines (and this is cleaned up): "I would not have sexual intercourse with her with your genitals." You can probably imagine what I really said.

6. Hey
Over a year ago, I told my right-wing bully of a brother to "fuck off" and have not spoken to him since then. I have discovered that my life is better without him in it.

8. "Maybe you should turn down the 'suck' knob on your amp."
Said to some kid who truly sucked on guitar, but was unaware of it. I'm usually very encouraging to young musicians, but this kid's ego got on my nerves. I wouldn't have said anything to him at all, but he got i my face and started telling me how great of a musician he was.

Still, I feel a little bit bad about the entire exchange.

11. I called my grandmother cheap when I was 8 or so.
The ungrateful twit that I was got less from her than from another relative for my birthday, and I said so. I immediately felt terrible, even at 8, because I knew that wasn't something you said or did (or were really even entitled to feel, because my grandmother was extremely generous throughout her life -- it wasn't like she gave me a nickle and told me that was all I was worth or something).

I usually keep my nasty comments away from those who would be hurt by them -- I vent in private. Except about work -- then I bitch at work, and I've gotten pretty good at covering my tracks if someone I'm in the process of complaining about walks in. (And I'm complaining about them in a work context -- not calling their kids ugly or their feet smelly or anything...)

14. I used the "N" word..
it was 20 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. I am still so ashamed of myself. This girl was in my face calling me 'Honkey' and 'Cracker' and 'Whitey' and I unleashed with that awful word. I don't know if I will ever forgive myself for acting so stupid. She probably doesn't even remember my name.

17. I lambasted some bully who dumped a beer on a girl and made her cry
I worked with both of them and he was just acting like a jerk - trying to show off.

Truthfully, I can't even remember what I said but I told him that he had a problem and that there was something wrong with him. This guy had always been a bully and picked on people who were weaker than him. We were all sort of intimidated by him. I lectured him for about 5 minutes and when I was done he apologized and actually ran out of the party. I don't know what got into me - it was like I turned into the Hulk!

After that he was a lot more careful about what he said to people. People were coming up to me thanking me for it for days afterwards. I had to ask them exactly what I said becasue I couldn't remember what I said I had been so livid....

18. "I hope your kids are born disabled"
Ok, before everyone jumps on my back about this, here's the story. I was born with cerebral palsy. I was in a store one day (I was about 17 years old), and this couple (late 20's-early 30's) actually stood there, pointing and laughing at the way I walk, making out-loud jokes and comments. So, I said that to them- my point being, maybe they needed to experience what it was like for a disabled person to be made fun of. How would they feel if their child was being made fun of? I just couldn't believe their rudeness and lack of maturity, so- yeah, I said that. Was it still horrible to say, now that you know the story? :)
