3. they used to be my top team
before the Panthers were born - then Lord Voldemort bought the team and they dropped off the face of the earth for me... then Joe comes back!

Ahhh, the glory days!!

I loved listening to Sam Huff and Sonny Jergensen on the radio doing the games, that was one of my favorite Sunday activities...

14. actually, WPTF AM 680.
the feed to Raleigh, NC. Now they just have the Panthers - so I miss it now. Which leads to a question:

Why do we need the radio feed for the Panthers when they are ALWAYS on TV?

PS - Do Sam and Sonny still do the call?

8. I grew up in Da Bears country
... I never could stomach the Bears and that's all that we got to see so I ended up liking their rivals. When the Vikes and Packers play I resign myself to doing a shot after every TD.

10. eewwww
Bears. Yuck. I can see why! :D

And if you had to pick a game to do shots for each TD - it would be Packers-Vikings!

6. What happens when two of your teams play one another?

(Asked the man with no team since Bud Adams is a fucktard.)

7. Usually it goes in order
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 09:53 AM by mrboba1
so if Panthers play Packers, I go for the Panthers.

Although, it can get quite complicated when it is more meaningful for one than the other
(like if the Panthers were 14-1 and the Redskins were 9-6 fighting for the last playoff spot, I might go for the Skins...)

on edit: you haven't adopted the Texans?

9. Er, no. I haven't adopted them.
I'm not from Houston, but I was an Oilers fan before we moved to Texas. I was a big Billy "White Shoes" Johnson and Earl Campbell fan. The owner of the Texans (STOOOOPID name, btw) is good friends with Poppy Bush, and Poppy goes to the home games all the damned time. Bleh.

It's bad enough having Poppy's Presidential Library at my alma mater. I don't need him associated with my football team. I guess I want them to win most of the time, but I'm not a huge fan. There are still a couple of Oilers in the league (Eddie George and Steve McNair) so I pull for them, too.
