My grandpa Bill (3rdGenDem) was a Kentuckian who loved his booze. He believed that anyone who would put ice or (gasp!) soda pop in good whiskey should be pistol-whipped.
That was one of two things Bill left me. The other is a distrust of all things Republican -- which runs clear down to the DNA level.
