Anyone here use a Blackberry?
My Palm is old and shot and my cell phone is getting really old. I was thinking of a Blackberry so I would not have to have two things to worry about. Also, the one I was looking at is $200.00 off right now. Do you like it? Have you had any problems? If someone has the loud speaker phone I would be interested in knowing if it is really loud, I drive a diesel truck and every hands free set I have tried is still not loud enough for me to hear. I just hate to spend the money without knowing more so if you have any advice or experience with them could you let me know? Thanks!

1. I know it's cumbersome to carry all these gadgets

(iPod, Palm, cell phone) but I prefer to have one thing do something well than have it try to do all things like a Palm phone. If the phone part dies then you are out a phone and possibly the Palm part too.

3. yes
love it love it love it.

I don't have the cellphone in it because you have to charge it more often (like a cellphone, not like a blackberry - main reason) and would not use it as a cellphone - looks so freaky to hold to your ear. But I know people that have it and really like it.

Verizon has a good one that people seem to like - good phone and good email.

4. You mean a Crackberry,,,,hell yeah. Can't live without it. IT's best
among friends, worst for work. Why? IT's fun chatting with friends especially during a meeting when someone is making a total ass of themselves. It's worst for work because they expect you to respond to stuff when you're on the toilet. I finally gave mine up when my best friend gave his up. I didn't have anyone else to chat with and work wasn't that much fun to take up the slack.

5. I run a fleet of 'em out of my office
They're very reliable and solid. Wireless coverage varies by provider, naturally, but have had no significant problems with either Motient or Verizon. Other networks also offer Blackberries. The ones with integrated cellphones work well, but I don't want a cellphone, so I don't have one of those.

Contacts, calendars, and even some file attachment support. If you want to, you can also download and install games, web-clipping services, news services, some for free, some for fee.

Good luck with all that.
