He's a Ryder Cup putting demon, draining almost everything within 10 feet the last few renewals. An automatic choice for Langer. And the Oakland Hills crowd should be less brutal to him than The Country Club in '99.

That looks like an excellent team, with less newcomers than the typical European team of late. Westwood is back in form, and at first glance only Parnevik is noticeably absent among the prominent Europeans who are in their prime.

Of course, it's usually the least impressive, on paper, European teams that give us fits.
