Do you want to hear what one of the jerky security guards from The House Of Blues told me last night.

He said that he saw me get out of the cab after I had all of my teeth removed and I know he did but I had no other way into my building.

I couldn't hide the fact either because my whole face was swollen and my mouth was open a bit with bloody gauze coming out.

Well anyway he made a comment last night that I wouldn't have problems getting a date because a guy would love a women that doesn't have teeth.

Right now I don't want to go out of my bldg. anymore and I am humiliated from the comment.

I have passed this guy for a while and the whole time I have been nice and talked to him and he has never failed to say hi. He even goes out of his way to cross the parking lot to talk to me.

Gd'it he let everyone know in my bldg. that my teeth are gone.

Get steel teeth replacements. Like Jaws from James Bond. Make sure they're POINTED teeth too. And then smile at him when you pass, and cackle. Be sure to cackle. If you can, get a smoke bomb, chomp your new TEETH OF DOOM at him, and throw the bomb down so you can vanish in the confusion.

Also get someone to video tape it because this would be the single funniest thing in the world.

And if anyone asks why you have no teeth, just tell them you had to have them taken out so you can get your steel shark teeth. Or tell them that it was required by the agency you work for so they can get you hollow teeth to conceal microfilm in.

Or tell them that you got rid of them so you can get new teeth that will have a built in AM/FM/TV radio you can adjust with your tongue.

If they act confused just look at them with pity and comment that designer teeth at the new rage from <insert some random country here>.

WHen I was in my early 20s I lived with a 30 year old woman who wore dentures.

The whole "gum-job" thing is just an over-rated myth.

As someone who has started brushing their teeth obsessively to stave off gingivitis I am sorry that you are going through this awful experience and to go along with it you are encountering a bunch of insensitive assholes.

All I can say is that humanity is able to adapt to anything and it should get better for you some day and hang on until it does.

And you shouldn't worry about what other people say. Some people were never taught to filter out what they say to people. Most of those people that he told don't give a shit, and if they do, they aren't worth the air they're breathing. If someone asks you about it, tell them the truth. Most of the time people are curious and just don't know how to say stuff correctly. Don't let what other people think ruin your self esteem, self concept. Those monkeys obviously don't give a crap about you and aren't worth wasting your time with. WE love you and hope everything gets better for you soon. I know that this is easier said than done, but there are bound to be enough jerks in the world, corarose, that you can't help running across one now and then.:grr:

I had to stop at a pet supply story on my way home after having dental surgery last fall. Mine wasn't nearly as bad as yours, but I also had a mouthful of bloody gauze. I must have looked like the wrath of God, but everyone in the store was very kind and helpful.:shrug:

18. The guy is a jerk

I had some clown tell me a few years ago that I'd be pretty if I'd get my teeth fixed (capped). They aren't that bad - I have one that's shorter than the others and looks odd but I don't have $8000 for cosmetic dentistry to get a nice even "movie star" smile. I spend enough just trying to keep them.

So, even though I know the guy is an ass, I've still let myself be self conscious about them ever since.

We must resolve not to let these idiots get to us.

Just a side note..My first tooth I lost about 7 years ago. I thought the whole WORLD would notice. So, a few days later, me being self conscious about it, My BF had invited a few friends over.

We are sitting around the table, telling jokes. A not-that-funny joke was told, but everyone else thought it was funny. Here I was, sitting at the table, noticing that every single person at the table had a damn tooth or two missing as they were laughing. I laughed so hard I cried. I had never even noticed theirs, until it happened to me.

Some people are pricks, hes one of em, and I agree that it damn sure IS harrassment. Generally, comments like these are made by the ones who arent getting any, anyways.
