Listening to Garrison Keillor or a 3-way with Rush and Hannity?
I know, I know, GK's one of us and a great Liberal, BUT GAWD Damn he's hard to listen to. After 5 minutes I want to jump from my car as it speeds down the Freeway.

"Margaret reached under the counter to get the butter churner and started the process of making Granny's old homemade Butter. We sat at the table and slooooowly spread the butter and then took deliberate bites into the hot biscuits. Millie the dog looked up with his big brown eyes just hoping for a crumb of my hot warm biscuit but Aunt Gertrude gave me that all too familiar stare that warned me that I would visit the woodshed back behind Lake Woebegone if I dare feed the Kanine..........."

1. Actually I really enjoy Garrison Keillor
But humor is a subjective thing I know. I like your graphic by the way.

2. I happen to love the Parie Home Companion
Different strokes I guess.

Good old fashioned radio show but it does take a certain temperment.

4. His voice...That's it....
As he gets older it gets more monotonous...

5. Having grown up in a small conservative town myself ...
'been there, done that' is my mantra when that damned show is on. Mr. Nownow loves it -- but Mr. Nownow grew up in the 'burbs, not in a sleepy little agricultural town full of the same kind of stick-up-the-ass people Keillor gets so much mileage out of.

And when he sings, I want to poke my eye out with a fork.

6. I concur...
A Prarie Home Companion is one of the few NPR programs that encourages me to speed into a concrete bridge abuttment without a seatbelt fastened.

7. Can't agree with you
Love GK and PHC. So there!

It is a great shame I'm rarely home to listen to PHC.

8. God, I Love His Stories
They always start out that way, but they take bizarre twists. He actually has quite a bit sex, violence, fear, greed, cowardice, and existential despair mixed into those stories. It's just in disguise.

9. I can listen to GK all day long. The other thing is, except for the
"News from Loke Woebegone", he really doesn't talk for long stretches of time on his show.
