The Iraq Soccer Team
Am I the only one who thinks that maybe, a few teams are throwing their matches with the Iraqis to make them, at least, a medal contender?

I mean, I don't know much about soccer, but I find it hard to believe that Iraq was ever this good at this sport and they're suddenly one of the best teams in the world after Bush "liberates" them.

Is my :tinfoilhat: on too tight, or does anyone else get that feeling too?

1. Iraq was the cultural hub of the middle east before halliburton told bush
to send US soldiers to demolish it.

The schools in bagdad were reknowned for medical and engineering.

With that said, it's likely the soccer team is just a gang of ringers.

2. Hmm...
It's olympic football, it's not the professional game. They wouldn't stand a chance in a proper tournament like the World Cup.

The squads are made up of under-23s with 3 veterans.

3. Iraq once had a pretty good team
It was always one of the top teams in the Middle East until recent years when Uday began treating it as some kind of BF Skinner experiment.

They qualified for the World Cup last month so they are clearly pretty good.

I really doubt teams are taking a dive against them. I mean, how much money would you take to give up a dream?
