1. Enjoy---
I love that film--I'd hate to say how many times I've seen it!

3. A wonderful film. One of my favorites.
It's just a great, epic film. Great performances all around (especially Ed Harris as John Glenn). Stirring film score, as well.

Enjoy. :-)

7. Did ANYONE put in a bad performance in that movie?
I mean, sure Ed Harris is great in anything, but Fred Ward was absolutely BRILLIANT as Gus Grissom. Dennis Quaid was SOOOO perfectly cast as Gordo Cooper. Sam Sheppard & Scott Glenn were equally impressive. Also impressive was the "wife corps" of Barbara Hershey, Pamela Reed, Veronica Cartwright, etc...

The score by Tom Conti? A whole different topic, but simply breathtaking. Imagine this movie with a different score. Can't be done.

4. the John Glenn masturbation scene
Is truly one of the most peripherally surreal moments in cinematic history. :-)
