I'm feeling better than I did
I ate a banana and canned peaches yesterday and some noodles today. I still don't have too much of an appetite, but it hasn't been unpleasant to eat a little. I am not feeling constantly ill today either. I think that I might even go to work tomarrow.
I am still going to keep my appointment with the gastro specialist. I am going to have my kidney stone checked out too although it is of passable size and it may or not be the cause of my recent illness.
The doctor assures me that my blood chemistry is not bad from my involuntary fast.
I am going to be careful about what I eat for a while and take lactaid tablets when I consume dairy products again.
I am going to try to relax and enjoy life. I am happy to live, happy to eat again.
I hope that I'll continue feeling better, but if not, that makes valuing the moments all the more important.
I thank you again for caring.

2. Glad to hear that
you are getting better. Was it dairy that caused it or do you not know as of yet. The worse is not knowing what something could be. Hope you continue to feel better. Take it easy.

3. I thought it was at first
The week before I had gotten sick and pretty much couldn't eat for 2 weeks, I had been sick like that for a couple days. Then I started eating again with several days without dairy. Then I ate two days with multiple dairy products. Then I got sick for all this time.
A year ago, I had chronic diarrhea for a month and had difficulty eating again after a three day fast that the doctor suggested. Another doctor suggested possible lactose intolerance so I took lactaid everytime I had anything dairy and could eat again.
Since I have been sick for a couple weeks, I don't think that dairy products could be the sole cause of my illness even if it had been an intitial aggrevating cause. I would think that if it had, I would have been better within a few days.
I can't really eliminate dairy from my diet for large periods of time. Part of my job in quality assurance at a dairy products plant is tasting product.

4. Glad you are feeling a little better
but I have a question that you may want to research. If you are severely lactose intolerant, wouldn't you react to just breathing in your plant. I would expect that many of the molecules that you are intolerant of would be in the air in a dairy plant.

6. I'll have to check that out
It is in the air at the plant. It just isn't molecules. You can see it in the air. In fact, the past several days away from work has enabled my low level sinus problems to clear up.
Am I ingesting enough of it just through breathing at work all day to react to it? I don't know.
I have an interview at a non dairy food plant next week, which I hope to feel and look well for. It would be great if a different job greatly improved my health if I get one.

8. I'm glad you are doing better
Definitely keep the appointment with the specialist. If the kidney stone isn't the cause than maybe the specialist can find out what is. Since this kind of thing happened to you once before, its probably a good idea to investigate the cause as best you can.

Good luck with that other job, I hope it works out for you. Feel free to PM me if you need anything. :-)

10. Thanks again
To those who responded to the thread, thanks for your concern again. It is nice that you all have been thinking of me. I will go to the gastro specialist. I am sure that he'll know more about the subject than my doctor. A special thanks to Susang for sharing her experience with me and passing on to others that I was alright. I love you all.
