Creepy dreams and complicated coffee makers
aaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh

Last night I dreamt I was standing in front of a store with some friends, and suddenly saw a 747 coming right at us. My friend said, it's okay, it's not going to crash, it's just going to land on the street, and I said, yeah, but it's landing right where we're standing and we had to quickly run behind the building to keep from getting run over.

So I wake up all - weird feeling in my gut and all - so I go to make coffee. We have this new coffee maker. There's no caraff. You fill a bucket with water. THen you pour the water into the resovoir (please don't expect correct spelling). I am forever either pouring the water directly into the resovoir so I don't know how much I've put in, or I put it in the bucket and turn the coffee maker on leaving the water in the bucket.......Now I have to go downstairs and get the laundrey I left in the dryer at 1 am.

wah.

How's your morning shaping up?

1. I Have Dreams With Similar Themes
... I live in the direct flight-path of Washington National (DCA) and constantly see incoming and outgoing flights. The planes are just close enough that I can usually tell if their landing gear is up or down and which airline it is.

I guess that's why those images are always in the back of my mind, and why I often have dreams of watching one of the planes fly over my house and crash into the Potomac or into the wooded areas between me and the river.

It's weird.

3. The week before 9-11
I dreamed that my brother had bought a castle tower. We were trying to find the kitchen so that we could have a party, and lines of people were walking up steps that spiraled around the outside of the tower. But there was no handrail on the stairs and people kept falling off. There was a moat with alligators around the tower. At the end of the dream, I was climbing up the stairs with my three-year-old nephew when we fell off together. We were falling and I was telling him "don't worry, you will land on my tummy" as I struggled to make sure that I held him and landed on my back. That is when I woke up. All that week, I got weepy when I thought about that dream. Then 9-11 happened.

About those alligators: I took my little nephew with me when I voted in 2000 and let him push the buttons when I voted. I told him that he voted for Al Gore. When he was asked later who he voted for, he happily proclaimed he had voted for "alligator."

4. Pears and eggs
My pears are drying in the dehydrator, and some are done. Don't have time to mess with them, and go to make breakfast for my hubby. Wind up not cooking egg long enough, and the yolk squirts all over him. Sigh.

6. Yes
It's OK if I'm in a hurry; usually I use my Bodum Coffe Maker (see post #2) or my Espresso maker.

So I'd say : yes/yes/yes.

12. You Americans love your coffee don't you?
I mean, when I make coffee, its a packet of instant, a cup, a teaspoon and a kettle. Yet here you are talking about THREE different devices to make coffee!

Yep, you sure do love your coffee...

7. The airplane dreams...
they must be symbolic of something in our personal lives, or they could indeed be an intuition of a forthcoming event. I have dreams of watching an airplane take off, but it doesn't quite have the lift, so it falls back down. I know there are severly wounded people in the plane, and I am afraid to go and help, but I do. I think this is a personal dream--me feeling inadequate or something. I do believe that human beings can sense large events before hand, and that this can show up in odd dreams.

I once dreamed I was visiting my brother in a really futuristic-looking hospital. My entire family was there. We weren't able to get into see him, because he was in a completely different wing. He died a week after my dream.

I had a dream once that I was in a very large sky-craper owned by my boss (he doesn't really own a skyscraper). I was looking out the window and saw this huge tornado coming right towards it. It hit us, and all was devastation. The weird thing is, our office moved after that dream, and one day I looked out the window and got this weird feeling, because the view looked almost exactly like the outside view of the building in my dream. That was the day before 9-11. Not exactly prophetic, but it was strange, nevertheless, more because of the feeling that went with seeing a dream reappear before my eyes. It's happened several times.

10. I used to dream about tornados all the time
Usually coming across the ocean. Now water supposedly is suppose to symbolize sex in dreams, so that's a little scary.

But ever since 9/11 the the tornados are gone and replaced by airplanes. Definitely think it's personal and has to do with inner turmoil, and the imagry the subconsious uses is the biggest symbol of turmoil it can find.

Something kind of weird tho is a few days before the black out I had a dream about civil unrest and the streets being filled with people.

Did you see the Mothman prophecies? There was a great analogy for precognition. Allan Bates points to a man up on scaffold of a building and says to Richard Gere, if there was a car accident three blocks away you and I wouldn't know about it. But he would because from his vantage point he can see a little further down the road than we can.

14. On the morning of 9-11
the first person I called was my mom who lives in Queens. I asked her if she had the TV on and if she had heard what was going on. She hadn't so I told two planes had just crashed into the WTC. The first thing she said, was oh my god, I had a dream last night about a plane crash. In her dream she was watching the news and it was about a plane crash and it was so real that while it was happening she wasn't sure if she was awake or asleep. Just one of those things that makes you wonder?
