The one where he infiltrated the mob (last one I saw) was the best bit of television I have seen in ever so long. I'm with you Duckie!!

14. I loved him in Wings

I love the one where he says: "You were supposed to play Good Cop/Bad Cop not Good Cop/Off-Duty Cop."

15. I was a Wings FANATIC.
Lowell, Fay, and Antonio were my favorites. They TOTALLY made that show.

Some of Fay's snarky remarks nearly made me wet myself. I cried when it ended.

24. Hmmmmmmm....NO!
It sounds hysterical!

What about the one where Fay was trying to impress some of her old friends by having a younger boyfriend, and the only person she could find was Lowell?

He got so into it he was quizzing her every 5 minutes so she wouldn't mess up their story.

"We met at a) the grocery store, b) Lollapalooza 2....."

That was great! I wish USA would put the reruns back on. When they had them on before, we didn't have cable yet!

8. The show makes me want to hurt the lead character
I hate it. He's so damn annoying. Not many thing make me want to get violent but that show does. He's almost as bad as Bean.

9. I'm gonna have to disagree with you.
He's true to what a real OCD guy looks like. He's also hilarious and brilliant. And Tony Shaloub is BRILLIANT.

11. It really helps if you actually know someone with the disorder
The show is VERY authentic.

And it's able to do lots of things well. Heartfelt, tearjerking scenes are interspersed with hilarious OCD schtick perfectly. The scenes with the therapist are especially funny, IMO.

It's pretty rare that a detective show could find such a nice middle ground between drama and comedy.

13. possible ********SPOILER******* question, beware
Is this the first time we've seen trudy? I loved her. Not disappointing at all, you know, like it can be sometimes when your imagination is so much better than their reality.

17. They've actually used a couple of different actresses for her
Edited on Sat Aug-21-04 01:35 AM by Mojambo
Stellina Rusich is the only one credited as Trudy Monk in every episode up until last week.

We saw young Trudy (Melora Hardin) introducing Monk to her parents last week.

I didn't catch who was playing Trudy tonight, but it didn't look like either Rusich or Hardin.

I like the fact that they haven't used the same actress each time. They did the same thing with Monk's arch nemesis, Dale "the Whale" Biederbeck. He was played by Adam Arkin originally and Tim Curry most recently. I'd like to see a different actor for him each time.

22. It was cool seeing Willie Nelson in the episode right before the finale
Hadn't seen that one before--was it from a from a previous season?

The plots are sometimes a little bit weak but I love the character of Monk and the show is very funny and touching.

My 12-year-old son is a fanatic--Didn't want to go out for dinner last night because "It's a MONK marathon!!!"
