I just got back from my graduate school orientation.
I also went and bought my books for the semester. I still am waiting to find out about my second financial aid request because I need more money to cover everything. I hope I get it. I really need it. I want and need to do this.

On another note, the orientation was informative and interesting. Got to see more about what each section of the Math Department does and about what might be in store for me over the next 2 years.

3. Congrats Coloradodem
My son just called to say he finished the last event in his week-long grad school orientation. He's excited and a little bit scared or maybe overwhelmed at that workload...courses and research.

Best of luck to you. I'm sure you'll do great!

4. Will I get the rest of my financial aid though?
That is the thing that worries me.

7. According to my son
Qualifications for working in financial aid are:

1. Must pass an exam or provide certificate that you are an a-hole.
2. Must not care to work more than one hour per day, and
3. Must view all aid applicants as unworthy of your time or urgency.

Hope things go better for you....we've been helping him fight this battle for three years.
