Say hi to my new blog: updated "coincidence theorists" guide, with links.
I've gone and got myself a blog, of all things.

For my first entry, I took the "Coincidence Theorists' Guide to 9/11" I'd posted here last week, expanded it and added links.

2. Good stuff!
I've bookmarked the link. You should get Will Pitt to publish on truthout. I'm going to pass it around. Really a powerful essay....easy to read, comprehensive, and devastating to see all the dots laid out. I'd love to see someone try to debunk it, but it's pretty damn hard to refute the facts.

4. Wild applause!!!!! Standing O.
You're surely among DU's best researchers (and there are a handful!) and I think this is a wonderful use of your time and efforts.

Salud! :toast:

5. Thanks!
But "wonderful use of my time"? Geez, I hope so.

The damn thing is I'm a novelist and a magazine writer, so I sit here all freakin' day and much of the night staring at this screen, and more often than not I find myself here. Another online distraction I don't need. (Especially since my wife and I are trying for another offline distraction.)

Still, we're off to a cottage next week, so that should nicely unplug me for a while.

6. One suggestion
Make the background a lighter color with dark letters. It's easier to read. What you have is dramatic but hard to read. Otherwise it's great!

8. I agree
Thanks MB. I've bookmarked and started to pass it around. Excellent job but I second shraby's motion re. a change in background and text colour to make it a bit easier to read.

11. Thanks for the advice.
I took your suggestions and changed the colours. The purpose, I guess, is to be read, not just look cool. :)

7. Nicely Done
The research I have found on DU help wearing the tinfoil a lot easier.

I've been trying to leave copies of "Coincidence Theorists Guide" in public spaces as much as possible, just to help get the meme out there.

Peace,
Noodleboy

18. We can unlock this misery
Whatever fear invents, I swear it make no sense
I reach through the border fence
Come down, come talk to me

I can imagine the moment
Breaking out through the silence
All the things that we both might say
And the heart it will not be denied
'Til we're both on the same damn side
All the barriers blown away

:hi:

20. Great blog entry. Here are some links & comments.

That George Bush's brother Marvin sat on the board of the Kuwaiti-owned company which provided electronic security to the World Trade Centre, Dulles Airport and United Airlines means nothing more than you must admit those Bush boys have done alright for themselves.

Why the British spelling?

That Osama bin Laden is known to have been an asset of US foreign policy in no way implies he still is.

Another link for this: http://msnbc.com/news/190144.asp?cp1=1

I would drop the Vreeland paragraph if I were you. He may have had prior knowledge, but his "evidence" is more trouble than its worth, IMHO.

That none of the flight data recorders were said to be recoverable even though they were located in the tail sections, and that until 9/11, no solid-state recorder in a catastrophic crash had been unrecoverable, shows how there's a first time for everything.

Flight 93's FDR was recovered, but its contents have never been released. Of course the indefensible "explanation" for this has been the upcoming (when?) trial of Moussaoui.

That the 9/11 commission's executive director and "gatekeeper," Philip Zelikow, was so closely involved in the events under investigation that he testified before the the commission as part of the inquiry, shows only an apparent conflict of interest.

Don't forget that this exact same dude wrote both Condi Rice's autobiography and the CFR's "definitive" Roosevelt-didn't-LIHOP-Pearl-Harbor conclusion.

Also, this coincidence has always driven me up the wall:

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/context.jsp?item=a021002

And the one about John O'Neill taking the WTC security job just in time for it to (supposedly) collapse on him.

Finally:

No one had EVER envisioned planes as missiles despite the 1999 Library of Congress Report (The Sociology And Psychology Of Terrorism, http://www.loc.gov/rr/frd/Sociology-Psychology of Terrorism.htm ), the 1999 United States Commission on National Security Report, the Filipino police warning in 1995 (Operation Bojinka, http://prisonplanet.com/operation_bojinkas_bombshell.html), the Youssaf trial, Gore's 1997 Report on Terrorism (White House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security, http://www.fas.org/irp/threat/212fin~1.html ), the Genoa Summit warning (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-092701genoa.story ), a plane that flew into the White House in 1994, and the Pentagon MASCAL simulation of plane crashes in December 2000 (Contingency planning Pentagon MASCAL exercise simulates scenarios in preparing for emergencies, http://www.mdw.army.mil/news/Contingency_Planning.html ). Not to mention the multiple exercises going on 9/11 itself.
