Man Plunges 200 Meters Down Ravine In Car - Unhurt
<snip>

A FRENCH man has plunged 200 metres down a ravine in his car in southern France, and walked away from the accident with nothing more than a severe case of jitters.

The 36-year-old man, a resident of the Paris area, lost control of his vehicle in heavy night rain along mountain roads in the Vosges region.

His car somersaulted and then slid backwards 200 metres down a steep slope before coming to a stop in a field.

The driver, unharmed, was taken by tourists to a nearby farm.

Firemen later took him to a hospital where he was treated for shock and released the next day.

1. It didn't explode in a huge firecall in midair?
That's what always happens in the movies!
