Damn... I need to sell my car now.
I'm getting a good deal on my parents' car.

But until I get it, I need to sell the old one.

It's got a couple of minor problems but nothing that truly detracts from the value of the car and it's in awesome shape for being 9 years old.

Meanwhile they've got the old car.

Their registration fee is about due (Sept) as will their insurance costs.

They'd already bought the new car, much to my surprise. :wow:

Apart from carsoup.com (what a lame name), and putting up ads at work and on my car, where can I advertise this thing that isn't ebay because I refuse to use them and I'd rather not get scammed by anyone else either?

I can see why they're pressuring me, it's going to cost them plenty to keep this thing. They're both retired. (I've had 3 people make a claim of interest, but haven't heard back from 2 and the first one is also debating an older-year model of the same make which apparently has a lot fewer miles and that owner is asking half the price. Given it's a Toyota, it must be a real old car with only so many miles to still have a $2000 value attached to it...

(And, in general, I'm tired of this world and how it pressures people - but that's another story. :-) )

Thanks!!!

1. May I recommend
autotrader.com? They do have free ads (yes, they're teensy and such, but they're free!) Also, craigslist if they have a site specific to your area.

2. So yours is a $4000 car...?
Call the first two people who expressed an interest and see if they're serious. Ask if it's the cost, or the mileage or the condition that is making them hang back. Play like you're a used car sales(wo)man, because that's what you ARE, at least temporarily. Word of mouth and follow-up are your best tools for selling it. Find those interested people and make 'em a good deal!
Now get out there and SELL! :-)
:hi:

3. Do you have a local craigslist?
Our craigslist has a car/truck section.
