a bad extended joke stemming from a thread about how much someone spent on textbooks.

That being said - it was funny tosee how many people took it seriously!

And then I made the mistake of hiring Butch Braggert: Hunter of Men. He should be tailing killers and Republicans - not petty theives.

Lesson learned? - Do not use a bazooka to hunt a mouse.

2. Someone - I think it was Endangered Species posted a thread saying

I just paid $500+ dollars for textbooks. JVS posted a thread saying I just charged somebody $500+ for textbooks - so I posted a thread saying I just fired an employee for posting on DU about fleecing somebody on textbooks - and on from there. I go home from work, do my thing, eat dinner and come back to this foolishness.

8. I didn't see all of the threads

but I want to support the mods. It's a very hard job. You're trying to be fair and make judgements that are very difficult. It makes it much more difficult when DU friends post crazy, sarcastic threads. We tend to believe them. Thanks, Ras for doing your job.
