Computer question
under tools>internet options>settings, it allows you to choose the amount of disk space to use for your temorary files folder. Does the amount of space you choose effect how fast your comp goes while you're surfing the web, and if so, which makes it go faster, a lower MB setting, or a higher one? I hope my question makes sense, thanks for any help! :)

1. the setting affects caching.
It takes time to download images - the temporary files keep a copy of images you've viewed on the local hard drive so they don't need to be reloaded. If you go to a few sites and those sites have few graphics, a low setting is appropriate. If you go to many sites, with lots of graphics that are the same each time you visit, and especially if you have a slow connection, then a higher setting is better.

Does that help?

2. Reply
The more space in the temporary Internet folder allows more common images to be saved on your hard drive making surfing faster. Especially, for dial up, but if you have broadband turning it up higher isn't as worth it.

3. What are you using for a modem?
If you have cable internet or dsl you're better off keeping that space allocated as small as possible.

I'm not sure about if you have a 56K. It probably still should be pretty small.

It does effect how fast frequently visited pages come up, but if you have high-speed internet the difference is negligible. However, with whatever modem you have I've found that if that temp folder gets too full it tends to slow me down. Especially when first opening my browser.
