Man Vandalizes School, Leaves Behind Driver's License & Business Card

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. -- Thousands of dollars worth of damage was caused at a Lake County school and deputies say they know who did it because he left behind his driver's license and business card.

Computers were smashed, and windows and equipment were destroyed at Fruitland Park Elementary over the weekend. But the discovery of that business card and license helped investigators quickly make an arrest.

Police say that it was a rampage fueled by a craving for cocaine that landed a Lake County man in jail and left an elementary school ransacked.

An officer on his routine patrol saw lights on inside the school at three o'clock in the morning and went in and found a trail of destruction.

Kennedy told police that he was drunk and trying to find money for his cocaine addiction. He became frustrated when he couldn't find any.
