Poll question: Who would you rather be stuck with on deserted island? Love Ones vs. Pets
I was reading the local Wilmington DE magazine and they had a section about pet care. No biggie

Anyhow, they had a little section of facts and trivia about pets and I found this interesting statistic. Back in 1995 a study (questionaire - who knows) was done and found that more people would rather be stranded on a deserted Island with their pets than with family and/or loved ones.

So let's take the DU survey. Who would you rather be stuck on a desereted island: Your pets or your family(2 legged ones)

1. Depends on which family...
My husband? Or the family I was born into? Or my in-laws?

Aww hell it's a tossup either way. I'll take the pets. They don't talk back and when you run out of food they're easier to catch... :)

3. Pets
but then I'm not married and don't have children. My family is what you might call disfunctional.

My cats are functional.

if there's a good supply of food, my loved ones. If not, pets. You can eat your pets.

13. Hey, now
I live in California, where housepets are affectionately considered "Emergency Earthquake Rations."

I'm so going to hell.

I would like to be on the island with someone who would fully appreciate the power of coconuts. :P

7. Two answers, really.
First I voted pets, because that would mean my loved ones are alive and well somewhere.

Second, if I can be more creative, I'd rather be stuck with someone WHO CAN BUILD A SAILBOAT. Duh.

8. Loved ones doesn't necessarily mean family,
does it? Cuz I love Elizabeth Hurley, we're definitely not related (or likely to meet). Could I consider her a pet?

I want to vote, I really do, but I'm confused.

9. salted and hung, a loved one will last longer...
...but pets are less trouble while still on the hoof.

10. That is so sick
:eyes:

Look at it this way - pets won't fight back unless you're sharing the island with your pet pitbull or rottweiler

14. As long as family = husband and son only, then family...
...otherwise, I think I'll go with my pets.

17. Awww.
Sure. They should get a loving home with an amazing woman like you, if I had to be stuck on an island away from them.

In fact, catch me on the right day and I'd say, take them now.

;-)

18. Kewl, you want to be godmother to Evita?
Tx-Rat is Abbott's godfather because Abbie looks so much like his old cat Chester

16. I'll take pets as long as my family is healthy and happy elsewhere!
And if I know I'd be rescued some day....
:D:D:D

Love them all, but prefer company of pets quite often. :loveya:
