edit: I like this because it doesn't protray religion as evil, just man's unlimited capacity for misinterpretation.

3. 50,000+ voters illegally scrubbed
and folks are still bitching about nader and micheal moore. this was the crime of the century, and the real cause of the mess we're in right now. thanks so much for this, LynneSin...sending it out to everyone i know right now.

5. We never stood a chance in Florida
Nadar could have disappearred leaving nothing but a note begging his Green Party followers to vote for Gore and we still would have lost Florida.

We were doomed before the election even happened!

7. exactly what i've been saying since the coup
nader's exit from the race wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference...they had it all locked up for the gitgo.

8. GOP had another ace
what would have happened if the votes had all been counted, and Gore came out ahead, but the FL legislature voted to still choose the GOP (Bush) slate of electoral college reps? ie, if the GOP-dominated FL legislature had exercised what i believe was their legal prerogative. i remember reading news stories mentioning this possibility at the time.

as extreme as the FL election theft was, the GOP still had at least one ace up their sleeve that they could have played if they'd lost in the US supreme court.

i also believe FL is not the only state where this could happen.

is anyone still naive enough to think the Bush cabal wouldn't dare try it?

if the florida election was disputed and the dispute unresolved (and of course the republicans would never have given up), then the u.s. house of representatives resolves the dispute, that is if we actually live by the constitution.

oh wait, in this case it benefits republicans, since they control the u.s. house of representatives. so in this case the constitution does apply.

11. how would they have voted?
Has anyone determined how those folk would have voted? Do people who share names or birthdays with fellons tend to vote democratic? Is there any reason to believe they wouldn't have mirrored the vote of other Floridians and given Bush a very small majority?

12. A brief review of those 50-70,000 names removed from voter rolls
shows they were from lower /middle class neighborhoods, and overwhelmingly black.

In other words approximately a ratio of 99:1 democrats.

Do the math.
