i think I must have Attention Deficit Disorder.....anyone else?
Tried to clean out my closet and dresser. Guess what happened?

I found a pair of Christmas socks I bought for a Christmas Eve pajama party we had a couple of years ago. Cute red socks with big black faux fur trim on top. Well I washed the socks so the faux fur trim turned nappy (of course).

So I figure I'll just cut off the trim. That turns into a big mess and the cat starts trying to attack the big mess of faux black fur that is going everywhere which means the dog thinks SHE'S got to smack down the cat and the cat ain't having NONE of that shit, so that ruckus wakes up the husband who is asleep on the bed because he works nights and then the phone rings and I go to answer it and find that my daughter has tried unsuccessfully to boil some pasta and I have to talk to her about not using the range without permission and the phone is for her anyway so then I intend to go back to the bedroom to take care of sock mess but get started folding laundry in the living room.

Husband gets up, VERY pissy, wants to know why there's a plant in the tub.

Oh yeah, I was going to water Howard the Ivy and forgot.

Seriously, is there something wrong with me?

5. It sounds like you've just got too much going on at once

And not all of through any fault of your own. I get that way sometimes, too. I'll start something and then think of something else I have to do that has more urgency and I'll forget about what it was I was doing in the first place. I don't think it's ADD. Maybe poor organizational skills.

6. No, I don't have...um...what was the question?
Serously, there's nothing wrong with you in the slightest. You are just trying to juggle to many things at one time.

So far this weekend, my wife and I have lost (and found) a digital camera, and her cell phone (still missing, and reported now). We've each been so busy at work and here at home that our brains are in near-meltdown status.

We went to a ballgame Friday night to take a break from all the stress, and that's when all the losing-of-stuff happened.

Hang in there, Moonbeam_Starlight -- you're fine! :toast:

7. Well, maybe so, maybe not, and
before I read this I was getting the things out of the washer and then realized that there was a stain I forgot to treat. Well, you sure can't dry that or it will set. So I put the treatment on the stained garment and went to put it in the sink and there was a cooler in there, also soaking. O.K. So I go and wash the cooler and put it to be rinsed in the driveway. On the way there, though, I walked through the garage, and saw that there was trash scattered about and it is almost trash day. So I gathered that and put it into bags. So, in the kitchen to get more trash bags, I realize that I need a pitcher or hose to rinse the cooler in the driveway. The pitcher is in the dishwasher. So, empty that. And then notice the stained garment, being treated in the sink. Rinse that. Forgot to put the other stuff in the washer into the dryer. Done. Go to find the hose to rinse the cooler, then notice the plants need water. Water the plants, but the hose won't reach to the driveway, and that's where the cooler is. Back into the kitchen to get the pitcher, but there are no trash bags in the garage. Bring the trash bags into the garage. Where is the pitcher. In the kitchen. While there, load the empty dishwasher. Oh, the dryer isn't running, forgot to turn it on.

So, laundry not done, cooler not rinsed, trash not gathered, hose on the lawn, dishes not done. I'm not even going to try to use sharp tools or hot cooking devices to prepare food. I don't think I should.

Life is normal. At least I didn't foul up pasta or try to trim my socks. I'll do that tomorrow. ;)

9. That made me laugh out loud
you described me.

Scary thing is, my dad does the exact same shit I do. He said he'll walk through the house and is startled to find about seven different projects he started that day and got distracted by something else.
