I thought I was going to kill myself or someone else. Text flashing too quick for my eyes to keep up. The little bit that I did read was so fucking ridiculous that by the time I could type out what I wanted to say it was half a mile up the screen.

3. chat rooms

Some of my lists have monthly chats that are private, so there's no spam. Even when the roommates and the content are agreeable, I find these chats irritating for reasons like yours. People type so fast to keep up that the spelling is horrible, and there are always several simultaneous threads. I prefer lists and blogs.

I took that SelectSmart test that matched you up with the candidate that most agreed with your views. (I was 100% with Kucinich and John Kerry came in third for me, BTW.) I was exiting it, when I noticed that there was a message board. There was a discussion on the possibility of going to war with Iran, so I just couldn't resist. Being used to DU, I told them how absolutely suicidal that this would be and posted an article that contended that Iran was headed towards democracy, if only left to its own devices. I was not a big hit there and they called me a liberal!!! Oh, no!!!:o

I certainly would have always chosen him over Bush*. But my heart belongs to Dennis. I always liked what he was saying and admired his willingness to speak out, which didn't always make him popular, so was pleased to learn that his views exactly matched with mine. I liked so many speeches from the convention, but Dennis was really on fire! Love the photo of Sharpton! He was also great, always a crowd pleaser! They are criticizing that his speech ran over! He was just saying things that needed saying, as always, IMO!:grr:

9. Here's my Yahoo chat strategy for taking on wingnuts

Create a notepad file with quick one sentence talking points. Use strong facts, stuff from the "Chickenhawk Database", and maybe a few funny jokes, since humor always wins over people. Study the freeper chatters, and be ready to fire off retorts.

Post hilarious anti-Bush graphics, or links to them.

When I used the term "Bush: Ten pounds of shit in a five pound bag", the whole room was roaring!

Keep a good, detailed list of 'talking points', keep them as brief as possible, since things move fast. Hit the freeps hard with quick answers. Cut and paste at will.

Yahoo chat is nonsense. It is just a collection of nuts. But you can have fun, and that's what you need to keep in mind.

I type 95 words per minute. My IQ is about triple the average person in those rooms, especially the bush supporters.

And I read a LOT about what's going on in the world. Very up on my facts.

So when I go in there, I spank them all soundly and then the room ends up clearing out.

Listen, I wouldn't have found this place if it weren't for a friend of mine in Yahoo chat. I have great typing skills now because of Yahoo Chat, and you feel so smart when you go there. I suggest everyone spend a little time there. But be sure to go the user rooms. The Political Yahoo made rooms suck. And the dems are better in those and the republicans even more stupid.
