Has anyone seen the movie "The Village" that just came out?
Is it worth seeing? Was it scary?

2. Not scary, and pretty boring, good twist at end though. Not M. Night's

3. There are some "jump in your seat" moments....
...but that really depends on what scares you. But it isn't a Friday the 13th movie if that what you're expecting.

I saw the movie tonight and didn't find it boring and actually enjoyed it. My only disappointment was how it ended. And I don't mean the prerequisite twist; but the actual ending.

Anything more I could say would be considered spoilers.

4. Actually I just got back from it
I liked it. It's not a scary movie though. Pretty good twist I thought. I don't think it was as bad as everyone says it is.

5. I haven't seen it but heard it had a predictable "surprise" twist ending
like his other movies. One reviewer said it was so predictable he should try next time to have a "surprise" twist beginning like getting a new writer.

For a scary movie I would recommend renting: Ju-on (get the original 2000 foreign version...not the American version they are making now I think): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330500/ It's in video rental stores.

Also, a f*cked up scary movie if I've ever seen one: "Audition" Again, lots of movies have this name. Make sure it's the foreign one by this guy: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0235198/ It's also in rental stores now. So SUPER creepy I can not even explain.

6. Just got back from it
I thought it was pretty good, just don't try to figure out the twist before the end.

It is a great commentary about something I can't say if you think deeply enough about it.

Go see it.
