I just got a job! And it's better than my old one.
How cool is this? Just a month after I got laid off from my job as a driver for a local drugstore, I've been hired to do the same thing for another local drugstore! I start on Monday, August 9th.

I'll be making $12 an hour--$1.50 an hour more than my last job paid--with a guarantee of four hours of overtime every week. Plus, the owner will pay for 100% of my medical coverage!

I still have to work on Saturdays, alas, but I will get every fourth one off, so in that regard it's still better than my last job was. And I'll be getting paid overtime, plus the owner springs for lunch on Saturdays!

I suspected that getting laid off from my last job would turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Looks like I was right! :bounce:

I'm happy for you. I was laid off in May and it's been a blessing to me because I have met someone at my new job I'm interested in dating. SWEEEEEET!!!
