They were doing Hardball outside at Fanueil Hall in Boston, and I was down there doing a Kerry visibility all day. I stayed around for Hardball, and when Clark was waiting to go on, he was standing right next to where I was. When they were ready for him on the show, they filmed him shaking hands as he came in, and I was the first one to shake hands. (My cousin saw it on TV, and my mother got a call about it from her.) Since I had volunteered for his campaign and I think very highly of him, I was psyched! I even had a chance to exchange a few words with him when he was waiting to go on. One guy had a bush mask, and Wes joked around with him. I was bummed that I didn't bring my camera because other folks who brought theirs got to have their picture taken with him (as well as with other folks there). Oh, well. And of course, Wes was great on the show. Didn't let Tweety get away with anything, and had a smile on his face the whole time. (Gert was there too.) Ron Reagan was on another segment of the show, and I shook his hand too.
