Favorite (or most hated) glib-ism
Mine is 'at this time'. Airlines, especially, seem to love it. 'Please remain seated at this time.'

Whatever happened to 'now'?

1. take your pick...
http://www.lssu.edu/banished/complete_list.php

I nominated "Let's Roll" for banishment from the English language, but I guess it was too topical. Too short a shelf life... it died of its own accord.

3. Most hated: "Get Over It," "Lighten-up."
Both phrases indicate the speaker or writer lacks facts to refute one's points. I guess that is why they have become a right wing lackluster riposte. It does seem to be getting tossed around by some DUers. I suppose they contracted the linguistic infection from listening to talk radio.

4. I dispise the term "Get Down" or even worst
"Put your hands together"

I don't LIKE "getting down"
and I refuse to act like some trained monkey clapping his hand to a cornball 4/4 beat.
And NO, I don't want to be "With it"

:)

5. "With all due respect, sir..."
Most overused line from a subordinate to a superior in sci-fi and military movies.

9. "My bad"

"Bad" is not a noun, goddammit!

People who say "my bad" sound ignorant and stupid. Of course, most of them are, but that's another story....

11. deal with it.

It suggests that I have to rearrange my emotional disposition to the "reality" that the speaker suggests. Eff it. I don't have to do any such thing.

12. Another Airline Abomination
(nice alliteration, huh? )

"Momentarily"

as in "We will be taking off momentarily"

I've often wondered... does that mean the pilot KNOWS we're gonna crash on take off?

Momentarily means FOR a moment not IN a moment.

The word their grasping for is "presently"

Anyone who is exploited is burdened with having to solve the abuse.
