Most embarrassing moments in your life?
I remember being asked by my 9th grade teacher to come to the front of the class and read a passage from a book. I did not respond.....I was asked again......I did not respond.....I was then scolded, and pretty much forced to come to the front of the class....I did....and the look on the teacher's face is still cemented in my memory, forever.

I had one of those teenage erections, I was wearing my sweat pants, and I was standing proud.

Boy, that was embarrassing...

1. Whew, that makes my story sound tame
I've had lots of embarassing moments, but the first thing that popped into my mind was a little incident that happened at my high school graduation.

We were called out one by one to come up on the stage and accept our diplomas. The diplomas were in a little folder and the folder was slipped inside an envelope that was open on one end. When it came time for me I went up on stage and took my diploma not realizing that the envelope was open. As I turned to walk away, still up on stage, the diploma slipped out of the envelope and fell to the floor. Right there in front of about a thousand people. I bent over and got it real quick, but the damage was done.

2. another high school one
i was sitting in class daydreaming as usual & this sustitute teacher guy was saying something about handing out a quiz... our seats were assigned by alphabetical order so my seat was in the front row & everytime the teachers handed out stuff, i always got the first stack & would take one & pass it.... so this sub guy was standing in front of my desk for a while with a bunch of papers under his arm and i'm thinking, "what the hell is this bastard waiting for?"

finally he says, "you wanna give me a hand??" he said it real sarcastic manner. i was thinking, "how dare this jerk interrupt my daydream and then have the nerve to give me an attitude about it?"

then i looked up at him to give him a dirty look and suddenly i realized i had forgotten the guy only had one arm! his arm was amputated due to injuries suffered while serving in the vietnam war.

i felt like a complete a**hole

3. My Panties fell off when I was wearing a dress in the 6th grade
I made a mistake and wore a pair of my Moms panties and they fell off as I was walking and I kicked them over the curb into the street.

Your story was funny btw!

8. Augh! That happened to me, too!
Believe it or not. Only I was wearing my foster-sister's granny panties and I was in high school.

Lessee, what else: Threw up on the floor of a restaurant in the middle of a busy lunch hour--my best friend had made me laugh so hard I choked, then puked, in front of all these business dudes.

Hm. Also, when I was new at computer tech support, I assured a manager that "we always back up your system before we reformat your drive" and then proceeded to wipe her disk without backing up her data first.

I think that'll do it for now.

4. My big mouth.
Of course that would be what would get me in trouble. I was about 19 and working at a bank during the summer. I was working at the teller window and needed to get some sign-in list and walked back to the drive-in teller to get it from her. I was looking at it as she handed it to me and I saw a name signed on it. I said, "Oh, I know her. She went to my school. Married one of the guys in my class. Of course they had to get married since the baby came a couple of months after they got married." (This was years ago when it was somewhat scandalous and I had been raised to believe I would burn in hell for doing such a thing.) I didn't realize that the people in line at my window could hear me but not only could they hear me, I was heard by the girl's mother, who happened to be one of the bigger bank customers, who then told me I didn't have to broadcast it. Arrgghh.

5. tonight
i didn't have enough money for the restaurant bill :spank:

first time in 20 years of social life. i could have lived without that. my date was NOT happy. the waitress sent me home for more cash, and welcomed me back with a smile (40% tip for her). just got back to work, and reaching for the plastic would have been futile.

whew. perfect timing for this thread, chuckup.

6. One time
I was an intern in DC for the summer. (No, no presidential BJs. Sorry.) I was running to get the bus that had pulled up in front of my apartment. *Splat*. Flat on my ass in front of a busload of gaping people.

7. I was in 6th grade
Edited on Fri Aug-29-03 08:00 PM by VermontDem2004
I was sitting in a desk in the row, there were 3 desks behind me. I remember class was coming to and end and my backpack was two the side of me, so I reached to grab it. I thought I had part of the backpack in my hand and I started yanking, the thing I was yanking was the shoe of the female sitting behind me. I thought she would be mad or whatever but she was just laughing, I felt so embarrased at the time. I don't think I would be embarrased today if that was me. I am not sure what my most embarrasing moment is but that was one of them.

ADD:I also have one of me in Kindegarton, I was pretty much day dreaming and was paying no attention to what the teacher was saying, so when she was done explaining the assignment she gave us a piece of paper. I had no clue what I was doing so I decided to copy what the female sitting next to me was writing. I was done so I decided to turn in the paper and my teacher looked at me and asked me "Is your name ----?" The assignment was to write our own name 20 times.

ADD#2:Now that you had me thinking, I have quite a few embarrasing moments as a younger kid.

9. Very embarrassing
I think I might regret this post but I was testifying in front of the state legislative body. I sat up in front for a long time, gave my testimony, actually slayed the opposition. It all went well and then when I left I went to the bathroom. Umm, I looked down and I had my period and a stain on my dress. I still think I got out of the hearing before the stain. I asked an acquantance for their shirt, I tied it around my waist, went to a phone boothe and called a workmate, and had her bring my long coat over to me. I then took a taxi home.}(
