The Washington Times had an article, I'm sure some of you saw it, regarding nukes in Iraq. Seeing someone post this as a legit news item compelled me to reply. Here's how it went:
Me:It's the fucking Washington Times, not the Post. The Washington Times injects conservative opinion outside it's opinion page, and the guy who runs it (Wesley Pruden, not the idiot Rev. Moon) breaks just about every code of ethics in journalism he can.
Other Guy:Also, Neo, The Washington Times was directly quoting the UPI newswire, so unless you think they somehow control that, your accusation is baseless, at least concerning this story.
Me:The Washington Times and UPI newswire are both owned by the same guy.
you got served
Other Guy:If you can give me a source for that, I'll officially declare myself the horse's ass of the thread.
Me:http://www.mediachannel.org/originals/revmoon.shtmlthere ya go, and here's the opening quote:
In May 2000, the media arm of Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church bought itself electronic fingers. News World Communications, Moon's media company, purchased United Press International (UPI), a once venerable news wire service.
you got served
Other guy:He quotes me as saying he got servedWell son of a bitch, I'm the horse's ass of the thread.
Ahhh that felt good.
